Fungal Nail Treatments
Fungal nail infections can happen in any nail – it is usually most obvious in the big toe. They can be unsightly and cause the nail to become brittle and crack and occasionally cause pain or redness around the affected toe. These infections take a long time to treat, with topical treatments or with tablets (which bring with them their own side effects)
We use a cold laser to treat fungal nail infections and it usually takes an appointment once a month for 18 months. A package of 10 treatments is £900 (paid upfront). On a pay as you go basis, each appointment is £100.
Terms and conditions for successful treatments of fungal nail conditions
To ensure the successful treatment of fungal nail conditions, we will ask you to sign a document at the beginning of the treatment process to make sure that you understand what you need to do to compliment the laser treatment we provide. We will ask you to sign to understand that:
- You MUST attend every 4 weeks for treatment and complete the course
- You need to follow the advise that you are given regarding the prevention of reinfection, including:
- Cleaning shoes (full advise will be given)
- Wearing clean nail varnish whilst the treatment is carried out (removing it the night before each treatment)
- Failure to follow this plan will lead to re-infection of the nail with fungal spores

Ingrowing Toenails
Ingrowing toenails are a common problem can affect adults, adolescents and in some cases children. They occur when the edge or corner of the nail (usually of the big toe but it can happen in any toe) grows into the skin of your foot. They can be caused by not cutting your toenails straight, wearing high heels or shoes that crush your toes together, trauma to the toe, repeated injury or pressure on a toe (such as playing football), fungal nail infections and other lifestyle factors.
There is evidence to show that if a member of your family has ingrowing toenails, you are more like to develop one.
Ingrowing toenails can be painful, unsightly and get infected. We’d rather see you before the infection sets in so please do give us a call if you suspect you’ve got an ingrowing toenail. We may be able to provide some early intervention treatment or advise you how to treat it at home
Love Feet Ingrowing Toenails Package
At the moment, waiting times for NHS treatment for ingrowing toenails are extremely long. We can remove the offending nail spike and treat the surrounding area whilst saving as much of the nail as possible for you. In a one hour appointment, we carry this out under local anaesthetic – the only discomfort being the administering of the anaesthetic.
After this treatment, we’ll arrange follow up appointments to check the healing, change dressings and ensure your toe and the nail are back to full health.
The full package starts from £395 (depending on the number of nail spikes you have removed) including all dressings & the follow up appointments – until the healing process is complete.

Verucca Treatments
Veruccas are a viral infection and are common in adults and children. Veruccas are often flat (because they’re stood on) and usually contain black spots under the skin. They are often unsightly and can be painful – the pain is often described as like standing on a needle. They might not hurt at all. They generally go away in time but it may take months or years. They are contagious, especially when skin is wet and sadly, children are often teased at school for having them.
We offer two main ways of treating veruccas:
SWIFT Verucca Treatment
The SWIFT Verucca treatment is our favoured type of treatment as it is so quick and incredibly effective. It really is the gold standard.
Veruccas tissue can go deep into the foot – which is why other treatment methods either take so long and/or aren’t 100% effective. The SWIFT treatment uses microwaves (not the sort you cook your dinner in!) similar to those used in radiotherapy to kill the affected tissue – without damaging the surrounding skin. This means you’re not in pain afterwards and don’t require dressings or bandages on your foot. You can walk straight out of your appointment and carry on with your day.
How long does it take?
Initial protocol is 3 treatments. If the verucca is particularly resistant or you have had it a long time, additional treatments may be needed. Your appointment is between 10 and 15 minutes long with each treatment taking 5 minutes – and getting very hot for the last 2 minutes. This heat can be painful. Once the treatment has stopped the pain goes. You will see the thickness of the skin returning to normal over the treatments.
Who can have it?
Anyone can have this treatment – there are no side effects, complications or contraindications. That said, some children may find it difficult to deal with the heat for 2 minutes and our laser treatment may be a better choice.
How much is it?
We believe it’s very cost effective at £395 per course of three paid in advance. If you wish to ‘pay as you go’, each treatment is £195
This includes the one use only disposable heads (normally £55 each).
Very occasionally more than three treatments may be required. If that is the case you will only be charged the cost of the disposable head.
Laser Verucca Treatment
Laser verucca treatment is our main alternative to SWIFT treatment and can be more appropriate for children or people with very pain sensitive feet.
How long does it take?
Each appointment is 20 minutes although the actual treatment takes less than this. (You need time to take your shoes off!). It is a pain free process. We’ve found that the longer you’ve had the verucca, the longer it takes to get rid of. This can mean the process can take months to complete.
Who can have it?
Anyone can have this treatment – there are no side effects, complications or contraindications. It’s pain free and can help reduce the pain that the verucca is causing. It doesn’t cause tissue damage or scarring – and we’ve found that it can improve the scarring from previous treatments.
Verrutop verruca treatment
Verrutop is a topical solution used by Podiatrists for the painless treatment of verruca. It uses a Nitrizinc complex to mummify the tissue and aid cell renewal beneath the verruca or wart. This aids a reduction in size and usually complete removal of the verruca.
It takes at least one course of six treatments to remove the verruca. In some cases, more than one course of treatment is needed.
A course of 6 treatments (paid upfront) is £200. On a pay as you go basis, each treatment is £40
Book a consultation
The first step in getting rid of veruccas is to come in for an initial consultation. This enables us to check that they are veruccas and decide, with you, the best course of treatment. We can often start treating the veruccas at this appointment.
Shockwave Therapy for Plantar Fasciitis and soft tissue issues
Plantar Fasciitis and soft tissue injuries in feet have been notoriously hard to treat. Until now. We now have the technology to use Shockwave Therapy to treat both and have been amazed by the results.
We think this is so brilliant, we’ve given it a page to itself!
